2013 Scion FR-S Review

Scion is an automotive brand of Japanese automaker Toyota manufacturing in Japan and U.S. sales focus that will appeal to young buyers. Scion release the new model, 2013 Scion FR-S. The fifth vehicle Scion at the North American International Auto Show 2012 has now the sports coupe FR-S announced that, not only externally, the Toyota GT 86 is similar and is likely to be well determined, therefore, primarily for the U.S. market.


Under the name “First 86″ Scion has launched a special program for the FR-S, which provides for pre-ordering, sale and delivery of 86 sport coupes before the actual launch. The name of the Scion FR-S is an acronym formed from the words ” F ront-engine “,” R ear-wheel drive “and” S -port “. The FR-S is thus a sport coupe with front engine and rear wheel drive.

As a front-engine in the 2013 Scion FR-S is a 2-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine with an output of 200 hp at 7,000 r/min are used. Power Transmission choice is either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters are used. The FR-S, which is a 2 +2- seater , is 4234 mm long, 1775 mm wide and about 1.3 m high. The wheelbase is 2.57 m. The track width is about 1.52 m front and rear about 1.54 m.


The FR-S is a weight of only about 1225 kg with a distribution of 53:47 having from front to back. The FR-S should also bear 215/45R17-Reifen and have ventilated disc brakes. It will be interesting to come up with what specifications and with what price for the Scion FR-S will eventually.
