Using sport utility vehicle in mid size as its concept, 2012 Ford Escape offers a commute for urban people or for the outings during weekend. There are three different trims to choose from this latest Ford Escape: XLT, XLS, or the Limited trim. We could also choose whether to pick the four-wheel or front drive. As the redesigned version of the 2010, which has minor changes of the 2008 design, this Ford Escape now features the system of Rear View Camera, Active Park Assist, and also the hands-free SYNC. Those who like big truck design for family outings will love this Escape series from Ford.

2012 Ford Escape Spec and Design

Using base engine size of 2.5 liters, this Ford Escape is out in the market by using I-4 as its base engine type. It also features 171 horsepower with 6,000 horsepower rpm. The torque featured in this 2012 Ford Escape series is 171 lb-ft with 3,500 torque rpm. While driving this Ford Escape, we will have the payload of 1,000 lbs and 1,500 as its maximum towing capacity. Expect some flexibility in turning with its 18.3” turning radius as the 2012 Ford Escape spec. For the safety, this Ford Escape has front and side impact airbags installed for the occupants, and the airbags with curtain type protection for the head are installed for all outboard seats.

The conventional look in truck based style becomes the main interest of this Ford Escape SUV design. We can see the truck look from the grille in the front of the car which is connected as well to the headlights. The shape of the connection quite reminds us with the Edge SUV from Ford. It also has the side mirrors that look quite large but do not give much noise from the air speeds. The roof is also nicely designed to reduce the noise from the interior in the 2012 Ford Escape.
